Nice ObituaryNEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — In honor of the late New Orleans singer and songwriter Gina Brown, the “Fillmore” will be hosting a celebration concert to celebrate her life and legacy.The singer and entertainer died at the age of 59 on Jan. 31 due to medical complications at Touro Hospital, according to her family. Throughout her 30-year career, Brown was known as the lead singer of her band “Anutha Level” and the creator of the “signature line dance” called “The G Slide.” She was also recognized as a philanthropist and iconic New Orleans resident. Artists paying tribute include Southern Soul Goddess, Lacee, Teresa B and more, along with Anutha Level. “Gina Brown made an everlasting impact on Louisiana and countless people with her amazing talent!” said Congressman Troy Carter.
